Holiday Homework (10/3/2012)

The title of the book that I am reading is Mary Poppins.

I spend 15 minute reading 12 pages of the book. I think that the main character , Mary Poppins is the new nanny of the four children, Jane, Michael , John and Barbara. She is an interesting person.The four children like Mary Poppins very much and they are scared Mary Poppins will leave them. I had read how Mary Poppins impressed the children with magic. I also had read how the resident in Cherry Tree Lane feel about the new nanny.

I will rate my reading experience 10 out of 10. The first chapter of the book gives me a big surprise, it is totally different from other book that I had read. The first chapter is very interesting as it goes straight to the point unlike other book the author like to beat around the bush.

I am looking forward to read the next part of the book. However, I had some question in my mind. Why Mary Poppins wants to be the Bank family nanny ? Why can't she be other people's nanny ? I hope I can find the answer when I had finish reading the book. :)

A wolf cheated Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood who was the smartest kid in Land of Fairy Tales , was been cheated by a wolf.

It happened on 20th February 2012 in the morning , around 10 am. She was on her way to visit her grandmother who was the queen of Land of Fairy Tales.  Red Riding Hood was holding on to a basket of cookies which are mean for her grandmother.

The wolf noticed it and took all the cookies. When she reached her grandmother house , she found out her cookies was all gone. she asked the wolf if he saw who take the cookies , he said the ghost took it . However , Red Riding Hood believe him.

One of Red Riding Hood's neighbour said , " It is normal that kids believe the wolf , he is a good lier . So, I am not surprise that Red Riding Hood will believe him."

" We must not believe the wolf , they only know how to take people things. No, they still know one more things , they also know how to lie to people too." Red Riding Hood's grandmother commented

All the people who live in Lands of Fairy Tales hate the wolf. No one likes him . However , this teach Red Riding Hood not to trust everyone.

"God Of Wealth" found in Bugis

During Chinese New Year period , a man in a God of Wealth costume walking around Bugis area suspiciously.

The man was giving his Chinese New Year greeting to the passers-by. His act caught the policemen attention. Three policemen stopped him and they also questioned him.

One of the passers-by said ,"The "God of Wealth" was very suspicious , my friends and I think that he is crazy."

The other passer-by had a different thought.

"I think that he is just doing his work. Some shopping mall or shops will hire people to be 'God of Wealth' during Chinese New Year period ," another passer-by commented.

It is fine to be "God of Wealth" in a public places , but you need to think twice. It may let other have misunderstanding about you.

Humpty Dumpty pass away in an accident

On 14 February , Humpty Dumpty died in an accident in Land of Fairy Tales.

In the evening , Humpty Dumpty was sitting on the wall ,which is along the river ,waiting for sunset. It was his hobby to wait for sunset. Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell from the wall. He died immediately Everything just happened in a few minutes.

Some people saw what happened and tried to help Humpty Dumpty. However , it did not have any help at all.

One of the king's men said ," Everything happen to quickly . I did not have enough time to react. It was sad to see Humpty Dumpty die."

Another king's men said," It was terrifying to see Humpty Dumpty falls from the wall. Everyone told him not to sit on the wall , but he refuse to listen to us."

Humpty Dumpty dies because he lost his balance while he was sitting at the wall.

Reflection ;)

I think that the story was well written. The idea that your enemy save you from the bullies is a very good idea because the writer can show the feeling of the victims and at the same time the writer can describe the feeling when the person was been safe by his or her enemy

I also feel that for the story can have different endings because the ending can give people a totally different view of the story. Endings must not be good , it can also be bad.

Love Story

From the video that I had watch today , I had learnt that we should think before we say anything out. I also learnt that we should not regret when we made any decisions  

I feels that think before we say anything out is a very important thing because some people speaks without thinking. Thus, they are hurting someone that they did not have the intention to hurt them.

I also feels that regretting after we had make our decisions is not reality. Most of the time, things cannot be undone after we had make our decisions. So, we must think before we make any decisions .
